Eye Care Provider (ECP) Registration Data

When Eye Care Providers (ECPs) register on our Site or submit a registration form, the information provided — including practice name, license information, contact details, and business credentials — is collected solely for the purpose of verifying professional status and facilitating the ordering of Optical Connection Technology contact lens products. This information is treated as confidential and is protected under the same security standards applied to all personal information collected by Optical Connection Technology. ECP registration data will not be sold, shared, or disclosed to third parties except as required to fulfill orders, comply with applicable law, or verify professional licensure. At the time of registration you may be asked if you would like to make your practice(s) publicly available in our practice finder. If you agree to this, your practice information (name, address, phone number, and website) will be publicly displayed. You may request removal or update of this information at any time by contacting us.

Prohibition on PHI and Patient PII in Orders

Optical Connection Technology’s website and ordering platform are not designed, certified, or authorized to receive, store, or transmit Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), or patient Personally Identifiable Information (PII). ECPs and all users are strictly prohibited from entering any patient PHI or patient PII — including but not limited to patient names, dates of birth, insurance information, medical record numbers, or diagnosis data — into any order form, comment field, or communication channel on this Site. Orders should reference only practice-level or product-specific information. Optical Connection Technology assumes no liability for any PHI or patient PII submitted in violation of this policy and reserves the right to delete such information upon discovery, as well as suspend or deactivate the account.

Disclosure

Optical Connection Technology does not sell your personal information with anyone else, such as advertising agencies, marketing companies, or third-party distributors. We will only share your personal information internally with those staff members who need it to carry out your instructions regarding the receipt of marketing information, product updates, or other services related to our contact lens products.
